Berjaya Corporation Berhad

Berjaya Corporation Berhad is no stranger to the development of the country. It was founded by Tan sri Dato Seri Vincent Tan, one of the most prominent leaders in the corporate sector in 1984 when he bought a controlling stake in the then Berjaya Kawat Berhad which was then owned by Broken Hill Proprietary Ltd, Australia and National Irons and Steel Mills, Singapore. He then continued to grow the company under the BCorp (Berjaya Corporation  Berhad) banner which underwent various stages of restructuring and reorganization and in 2005 was listed in the Main board of Bursa Malaysia in 2005 as BCorp.

It is the parent company which is involved in various types of businesses including consumer marketing, property investments, F&B, Gaming, Financial services, automotive as well as in many others. The company is also very much involved in tourism and one of its landmarks being the Times Square Shopping Center located in the heart of Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur. There are many very well established listed companies within the BCorp umbrella which include Berjaya Sports Toto Berhad, Cosway Corporation Ltd which is listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Berjaya Food Berhad, Berjaya Media Berhad and others.
