This expanded its network to 7 other ASEAN countries.

Consumer perception

As a bank, RHB is a very established name which has a long history dating back to more than 100 years in business although under different names. When Rashid Hussain bought the 75% stake in Kwong Yik Bank Berhad and then merged with DCB Bank Berhad, it became the third largest financial services group then. While competition in the banking sector is very strong in Malaysia, RHB has been very robust in all the areas it is competing in, often offering consumer-centric products which have remained relevant and attractive in this target segment.
