Trade Fairs and Expos in Malaysia

There are many trade fairs being held around Malaysia throughout the calendar years which are targeted for businesses and traders from all business sectors. As one of the top trading companies in the region, Malaysia has a broad range of companies involved in importing and exporting of goods and services in and out of Malaysia with furniture, food and environment being the top 3 most common types of events for traders.

Malaysia International Jewellery Fair – This fair is held at the beginning of the year usually in January. It is opened to people of the public and professional traders in this market sector and is held at the KLCC Convention Centre.

Electro Power Asia – This event is targeted for traders in the energy and environment sector and is held in Kuching, Sarawak usually around late January and early February.

Petroleum Asia – This trade expo is targeted for professionals in the oil and gas industry and is held in Kuching, Sarawak.

Malaysian International Furniture Fair – Malaysia has a large collection of furniture manufacturers which produce these goods for the local and export market. This international furniture fair is the perfect venue to showcase Malaysian’s products to foreign partners and is held around the month of March at the Putra World Trade Centre.

EFE (Export Furniture Exhibition) – This is the perfect event for exporters to network with potential partners, market expansion and any other trade arrangements. It is held at the KLCC Convention Centre and is open to public usually around March.

automechanika Malaysia – This is a very unique trade fair which is aimed not only for manufacturers and traders of automotvei parts and equipment but in all other areas like design and recycling as well. It is held at the KLCC Convention Centre in March.

Beauty Professional – This expo is a trade exhibition and marketplace to bridge manufacturers and distributors with suppliers, business owners and others including R&D Institutions, packaging suppliers and professionals. It is held in late March at the Putra World Trade Centre

Asean Elenex – This expo is organized in March at the KLCC Convention Centre and is the avenue for traders in the area of electrical engineering, electricity components and electricity.

MIHAS – Organized by MATRADE, the Malaysian International Halal Showcase is the trade fair for all types of Halal products. This includes food and non-food items like personal and beauty care products while it covers the likes of halal services like logistics and finance usually held at the KLCC Convention Centre in early April.

MIFB – The Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair is one of the most anticipated food production and technology trade fair of the calendar. It is held in June at the KLCC Convention Centre.

Power-Gen Asia – This is an international trade fair which involves a conference among the main players of the energy production industry which comes around annually in September.

Greenbuild Asia – This is perhaps one of the most exciting trade fairs which provide the venue for producers and other players in the sustainable building and design market. It is held in September at the Putra World Trade Centre.

Livestock Asia – A very anticipated international trade fair held every 2 years and usually held at the KLCC Convention Centre around the month of September. It is an event which brings together livestock farmers, veterinarians, wholesalers, food processors, importers and distributors in the animal food and livestock sector.

FHM – Food and Hotel Malaysia is an international trade fair which brings together businesses and those involved in the food, beverages and hotels industry and other related areas including restaurants, bakeries and catering services. It is held around the month of September and early October at the KLCC Convention Centre.

IGEM – This is an international trade fair usually held in October which is the ideal venue for organic product and green technology related producers.
